Paul Studenic is a senior consultant rheumatologist and principal investigator for clinical outcomes science at the Medical University of Vienna (MUV, Austria) as well as affiliated to research at the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm (Sweden). Paul has been previously working as post-doc at the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, addressing questions on outcomes in people at-risk to develop RA. He has done his PhD in outcomes research of inflammatory arthritis with a special focus on patient-reported outcomes at the MUV. At the same institution he has also undergone his medical training. He is involved in several EULAR activities in education, Quality of Care and co-lead of the Big Data study group. Particularly within the EULAR School of Rheumatology he authored RMD courses and acts as medical advisor for the educational course of patient research partners. Further on, he has a special interest in possibilities of the integration of mobile apps into health care settings. He is engaged in several collaborative projects investigating novel technologies for better care pathways in people with rheumatoid arthritis.
